As an integral part of a continuum of care throughout the Bay Area, the Jewish Home of San Francisco also serves the larger community.
The Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life is a collaborative initiative founded and developed by the Jewish Home in San Francisco, the Albert L. Schultz Jewish Community Center of Palo Alto, the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties, and local community leaders.
The campus is a welcoming, innovative, intergenerational destination, where individuals and families can live, learn, play, and connect. Anchored by a world-class community center - Oshman Family Jewish Community Center - and a progressive new senior living community - Moldaw Family Residences at 899 Charleston - the campus is transforming the region's Jewish community and energizing the Palo Alto area and its residents.
The campus will also house local offices of Jewish agencies, including the Jewish Community Federation, the Jewish Community Relations Council, and Jewish Vocational Services. Located at 901 San Antonia Road in Palo Alto, the campus is scheduled to open in the fall of 2009.
Residents of Menorah Park, a subsidized housing community in San Francisco, benefit from the Jewish Home’s medical expertise. The Home’s nurse practitioners and physician’s assistant coordinate care, perform physicals and TB tests, train staff in assessment, and review medication for Menorah Park residents participating in the Health Corner program, made possible with a grant from the Jewish Community Endowment Newhouse Fund.
