At the Jewish Home’s 118th annual meeting on October 25, 2007, outgoing board of trustees' chair David Friedman passed the gavel to his successor, Mark Myers, the third of three Jewish Home leaders who followed their fathers into this position at the Home. Myers is the son of Larry Myers; Friedman is the son of Howard A. Friedman; and former chair Dr. James Davis is the son of Julian Davis.
In attendance to congratulate Myers on assuming the role of chair, as well as to acknowledge the remarkable contribution made by Friedman during his tenure, were several community leaders and representatives, among them James Koshland, representing the Jewish Community Federation and the Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life; Tatwina Lee, chair of The San Francisco Foundation’s board of trustees, and Dr. Sandra Hernandez, the Foundation’s CEO; Alan Sataloff, CEO of the Oshman Family JCC; Ron Miguel, president of Menorah Park’s board, and Nurit Robinson, Menorah Park’s executive director.
“I’m honored and happy to have the opportunity to be chair of the Jewish Home’s board,” says Myers. “My hope is to continue fulfilling the plans resulting from the Home’s strategic visioning, as well as perpetuating the Home’s great reputation and standing in the community.”
