Integrative Medicine

The Jewish Home is pleased to offer an experienced licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who can provide acupuncture, herbal medicine, tui na (acupressure), qi gong, tai qi, and meditation to those residents who choose to supplement the “western” medicine dispensed by our medical staff.

Pharmacy

The Jewish Home has a licensed hospital pharmacy on-site. The pharmacy provides convenient, personalized pharmaceutical services, 24-hours a day, seven days a week, as part of the Home's delivery of services to our residents.

Medical and Nursing

Physicians are at the Home daily, and are on call 24-hours a day. All medical staff are geriatric specialists, working under the supervision of an on-site full-time chief medical officer. The medical staff is complemented by Nursing, which employs more than 410 RNs, LVNs, nurse managers, and certified nursing assistants.

Nutrition

One of the first activities in which a new resident will participate is the noon or evening meal. Nutritional Services provides clinical nutrition, as well as food services, to Jewish Home residents. All food is prepared in accordance with kosher dietary laws, and under the supervision of the Home's full-time rabbi.

GuideStar Exchange connects nonprofits with current and potential supporters, and allows nonprofits to share a wealth of up-to-date information with GuideStar's on-line audience of grant makers and individual donors.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' agency that ensures effective, up-to-date healthcare coverage and promotes quality care for beneficiaries. Star ratings are achieved by CMS combining data from the most recent annual survey by the Department of Public Health, from nursing home staffing, and from quality measures.
